Andrew Glatz, MD, MSCE
Andy Glatz, MD MSCE was born to two graduate students in Madison, Wisconsin, and lived there for a year as his parents completed their PhD studies. He then moved to Ames, Iowa as his parents both accepted faculty positions at Iowa State University. IT News
In the past, you may have heard Scott Rich discuss WU IT’s Secure WUSM initiatives and, in particular, the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) project. There have been a few pilots to verify the functionality of the product. The oversight committee has approved the implementation of the DLP security alert feature effective July 13 for all WUSM issued desktop and laptop devices.
How this will affect you
The new Security Alert will appear anytime you save, upload, or move sensitive information to:
- External Drivesex. USB Thumb Drives)
- Non-trusted Email Domains
- ex. gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc.
- Unsanctioned Websites
- ex. Linkedin, Facebook, etc.
- Non-WashU Cloud Storage Locations
- ex. Dropbox, iDrive, etc.
