Diversity Training for Faculty

Washington University School of Medicine is committed to fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, critical thinking and creativity. In order to facilitate faculty attendance, Pediatrics is sponsoring department-based diversity and inclusion training sessions. Our goal is for all faculty to complete the series.

WUSM CV Review and WUPS

OFD has developed a guide that answers many of the questions that arise when updating your WUSM CV in WUPS. For the promotion process, to have your CV reviewed by the directors of the office of faculty development, email your CV to janetbraun@wustl.edu to start the process. Please allow at least a week for review.

Education Skills Program

Participants for our spring offering of the OFD’s Education Skills Program are being accepted. The program is 10 sessions beginning March 6 and will concluding May 29, 2020. The goals of the program are to enhance teaching skills among the pediatric faculty and promote peer networking and mentoring. Register at this link.

Lisa earned a Master’s Degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Alabama. Through empowering individuals with wellbeing knowledge, tools, and skills, Lisa helps guide individuals to discovering their personal path to wellness.

Research News

The McKelvey School of Engineering and Washington University Libraries have partnered to offer Engineering a Better Researcher, a new four-part seminar series on research tools and resources (see Engineering a Better Researcher).

The TL1 Predoctoral Program at Washington University provides career development for medical and allied healthcare doctoral students through didactic coursework, mentored training, work-in-progress research discussions, journal clubs, and conferences (see Predoctoral Training).

The Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS) adult Clinical and Translational Research Unit (CTRU) continues to experience budgetary reductions under the current funding environment (see CTRU Services and Fees).

Washington University’s Good Clinical Practice Policy requires all investigators and staff who are engaged in the conduct, oversight, and/or management of clinical trials be trained in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) (see GCP Training).

The Clinical Research Training Center (CRTC) is accepting applications for programs designed for investigators committed to advancing their careers in clinical and translational research (see Advanced Training in Clinical Investigation).

The Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS), Research Development Program will host their Winter NIH Mock Study Section on Friday, April 3rd from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM), Farrell Conference Room 2 (see NIH Mock Study Section).
