The Department of Pediatrics is committed to fostering and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace for all faculty. This starts with recruitment of new hires with the help of diversity advisors. A diversity advisor serves as a member of faculty hiring committees and ensures that best practices in diversity, inclusion and equity are utilized through the hiring process. Diversity advisors may be a member of the faculty or staff. To learn more about diversity advisors, please visit the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion webpage.
The Office of Faculty Development — in collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion — is offering two diversity advisor trainings for the Department of Pediatrics on Oct. 11 from 11:30-1 p.m. and on Oct. 27 from 11:30-1 p.m. All faculty and staff are welcome to attend either of these two trainings, and we are requesting at least one faculty member from each division be trained. When necessary, due to staffing constraints, one staff member can be trained instead of one faculty member. Completion of Diversity 1.0 and 2.0 is required to be eligible for the diversity advisor training. Both trainings will be offered in person in FLTC 204.
Interested faculty and staff are asked to RSVP here.
